Terms of Service
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Vantage Cortex, Inc. ("we," "us") for using FarReach, our remote access app and service, and our website at farreach.app. By using FarReach, you agree to these terms. If you use FarReach for a business, you agree to them on behalf of that business.
Using FarReach
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract.
- You're responsible for the computers you install FarReach on, and for everyone who uses FarReach through your account or your devices.
- Keep your passwords private, and tell us right away if you think someone used FarReach without your permission.
Connect only with permission
You may only connect to computers that you own or that you have clear permission to access. If you help someone remotely, they must agree to the connection.
You must not use FarReach to:
- access a computer without permission;
- scam, mislead or defraud anyone, including by pretending to be tech support, a bank or a government agency;
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- spread malware or harm other computers or networks;
- collect other people's information without their permission;
- overload, disrupt or try to break into our servers; or
- resell or provide FarReach to others without our written permission.
We may suspend or end access right away if we believe these rules have been broken, and we may work with law enforcement.
Following the law
You're responsible for making sure your use of FarReach follows the laws that apply to you, including privacy and health-information laws. If your business needs a specific agreement with us, such as a HIPAA business associate agreement, contact us before using FarReach for that purpose.
Plans and payment
Prices, billing periods and other plan details will be in your order or agreement with us. Unless that agreement says otherwise, fees are billed in advance, aren't refundable, and plans renew until you cancel. You're responsible for any taxes. We may change prices, and we'll tell you before a change affects your next billing period.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Open-source software
The FarReach app includes open-source software and is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPL-3.0). You can request the app's source code by emailing hello@farreach.app. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under that license. These terms cover our servers, services and website.
Our service
We work to keep FarReach running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may update or change FarReach, and we may pause it for maintenance.
The FarReach name and logo, our website and our servers belong to Vantage Cortex, Inc. You may not use our name or logo without our permission.
Ending your use
You can stop using FarReach anytime by uninstalling it and canceling your plan. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering FarReach. The sections on payment, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and disputes still apply after your use ends.
Disclaimers
FarReach is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You're responsible for backing up your data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business. Our total liability for any claim related to FarReach is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for FarReach in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless Vantage Cortex, Inc. from claims, losses and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that arise from your misuse of FarReach or your violation of these terms or the law.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let customers know before they take effect. If you keep using FarReach after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
